Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation
Project Description
BFX furnished the refurbished Medical Centre for Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation, a 100% Aboriginal-owned community organisation providing health and community services across the Upper Hunter region of New South Wales. The furniture was selected to support a welcoming, comfortable and culturally safe environment for patients and visitors, with hospital-grade vinyl seating providing infection control, ease of cleaning and a comfortable waiting experience.
The BFX Exclusive Tides Coming Together fabric by Indigenous artist Shara Delaney was thoughtfully incorporated across the Showtime Tivoli Setting and Showtime Angled and Straight Lounges. The fabric works alongside the warm, neutral finishes to create welcoming focal points that celebrate connection, inclusion and community. The space was also furnished with Levante Visitor Lounges and Be-Bop Ottomans, providing flexible seating for patients, families and visitors.
The placement of the furniture created multiple waiting areas, improved circulation to consultation rooms and integrated the central structural column into the overall design, enhancing sightlines and wayfinding throughout the space.
