Katova High School Project - Solomon Islands
The Katova High School Project is a building mission providing the people of Santa Isabel Island with an opportunity for high school education. BFX are proud to donate quality furniture that will enhance the school’s learning spaces and support students and teachers in this remote location.
Over 100 items of furniture were donated including stools, students chairs and teacher tables.
“Our sincere thanks and appreciation for the support BFX provided to the Katova High School Project in the Solomon Islands. The two additional classroom blocks have been completed and the BFX School furniture finished the classrooms off perfectly”
Solomon Islands Work Group (SWIM) Chairperson and Katova High School Project Coordinator (Australia)
Heart for Kids
BFX has been a valued supporter of Heart for Kids since 2017. Their contributions have made a significant impact during this time. Funding is focused on two main areas. Child Development Centres and Women’s Tailoring Schools.
Children in India often do not have a school they can attend or if they do, it’s prohibitively expensive. Heart for Kids Child Development Centres provide a safe place for children to learn.
Women in India often do not have the opportunity for education. Women come to “Sewing School” to learn tailoring through a free six-month five day per week school and upon graduation are provided with a sewing machine for free. This enables them to start their own businesses.
“Thank you BFX for enabling us to train and empower and save many futures.“ David Ryan – Founder & Senior Leader
Sunrise Bethel Christian School in Port Moresby was excited to receive a container full of furniture from BFX. The much needed furniture included teacher desks, cupboards and desks and chairs for 3 classrooms.
“We would like to thank BFX for the donation of furniture. It was amazing to see what was given. We are so thankful.” Rebekah Cook (Principal)
