St Bonaventura’s College

St Bonaventure’s College is a new school located in Flagstone, Queensland, opening with Prep to Year 3 and Year 7 in its first stage. BFX delivered a furniture fit-out across their learning and staff environments, creating functional, well-considered spaces that establish a strong foundation for future growth.

Design and colour within the learning spaces were guided by the building finishes and existing feature colours, with blue tones inspired by the College’s colours layered throughout. Furniture finishes in Raw Birch Ply and Zincworks were used across desks, tables and shelving to create a light, inviting feel, with Capri Blue and Charcoal seating introduced through student chairs for contrast. Learning spaces were designed to feel open and adaptable, replacing traditional teacher desks with Kaboodle Teacher Stations to support movement, visibility and collaboration. Key inclusions include Ace tables, integrated storage, collaborative tables, and a welcoming library with Marvel shelving, soft seating and breakout zones. Australiana Gum was used in the library as a feature fabric inspired by Australia’s natural environment, creating a welcoming setting that supports collaboration.

Staff spaces were designed using the same considered approach, supporting collaboration and day-to-day operations across the open plan office, meeting rooms and boardroom. A bright, open feel was achieved through the use of white Ascendo Single Sided Electronic Sit Stand Desks paired with Milan Pro Mesh Back Office Chairs, along with flexible storage, creating comfortable and practical settings that support staff as the school continues to grow.
