Project Description
Muswellbrook South Public School engaged BFX to provide a furniture solution to an outdated but practical Library that offered limited functionality. A modern mixed learning environment was created.
New and innovative solutions provide quiet focus areas, collaborative zones, small learning group areas and a full classroom setting. All of these spaces are brought together within the general Library space.
Scope
- New and sophisticated reception / circulation desks and shelving for all types of Library books.
- The highly functional Showtime Broadway and the Dock setting, incorporated shelving with soft seating for intimate reading, or for small collaborative groups.
- The Showtime Pavilion Setting enables the Library to host an entire classroom. It is the pride of the library for staff meetings as well as parent visits.
- A mixture of various heights of products, provides a variety of spaces for all ages, and considers the wellbeing of the students. If offers choice and control in the manner in which they attend to their task at hand.
Key Services
BFX worked with the Key Staff – Steering Committee from Muswellbrook South Public School to coordinate furniture and colour selection. 2D and 3D floor plans were provided to ensure the Principal and staff could clearly visualise the spaces.
Manufacturing and delivery to site was completed on time and within budget.
