Huntingdale Primary School

Project Description

The construction of a new building to house Foundation – Year 2 Students was near completion at Huntingdale Primary School when Carolyn approached them about furnishing the new spaces, which included classrooms, school Library and a STEM room. Huntingdale Primary School, is an English/Japanese bi-lingual school that has certain cultural requirements that needed to be accommodated and was something that Carolyn was able to achieve due to BFX’s capacity to manufacture bespoke items for their customers.

Scope
  • 8 x Classrooms to match with the schools pedagogy
  • Bespoke furniture to work back with the schools cultural requirements of shoe lockers outside each classroom
  • Custom mobile Classroom libraries units, which were designed and placed in each room with efficient access for students and staff alike
  • Interior styling and space planning of Library that was functional for all year levels and to accommodate all staff for staff meeetings.
Key Services
A really exciting project to be working on with the school, as it moves towards modernisation of its learning and teaching spaces. The Principal and leadership team were all actively involved in the process of room layouts, furniture selection and the design of the custom units for each of the areas. This was achieved through the presentation of a 3D floorplan of the entire building which showed the customer that what they were wanting would comfortably fit in the rooms, allowing enough air to not look cluttered.
